Fernley News Network: Taking the Community To A New Level

In July, AngerisBrewing.com ran an article crediting Citizens Working 4 Fernley for organizing and executing a recall of two Fernley city councilmen. A retraction was later posted and will, for the benefit of the Fernley News, be released again in the next newsletter.

While volunteers did overlap between the recent successful council recall AND the Citizens Working 4 Fernley group, that does not mean that one was organized by the other.

The misunderstanding was mine and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Now… as bonus point: Does anybody else find it hard to believe that an online publication exercising its constitutional right to free speech, based on erroneous information, is daring to put down a group of citizens who opted to exercise their right to petition and recall provided for under the same US Constitution? Checks and Balances people… checks and balances. Good for those who believe in something enough to take action.

Didn't the declaration in your July 23, 2009 newsletter regarding the role of Citizens Working 4 Fernley in the recall effort come from one of their members? Also, which online publication are you referring to? I guess I've really missed something!
