OBITUARY
LENORE JEAN HARRIS

Lenore, 82, died peacefully at the Renown Medical Center in Reno, May 27th after heart surgery, replacing her aortic valve. She was a Fernley resident.

As a child, she attended many schools: 10 in Nevada, 11 in California, Oregon and Idaho and Fort Bragg High School in Mendocino County, California. She attended colleges at Sacramento City, Idaho State and University and University of Nevada, Reno. She was a teacher and a retired respiratory therapist.

She was an inveterate reader, gardener and a lover of her three cats, now in need of a new loving home (Call 775-575-2365 or 301-928-2080 to adopt same).

Her parents were Michael Joseph Harris, nee Joseph Quince Harris and Patricia Lea Brown Harris, nee Leah Brown, both deceased. She was born August 26, 1929 in Huntington, Utah.

She is survived by daughters Virginia Ann Parsons Parker of Lebanon, Oregon and Patricia (Patti) Lea Knight of Semi Valley, California and a Brother James Edgar Harris of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Sister Luana Lou Harris Lucero of St Louis, Missouri, a grandson Joseph Amons of Oregon and a great-grandson Jonathan Amons of Oregon.

She was an active participant of the Fernley Food Bank and many other organizations to help people.

A memorial service will be held at her church at 90 S. Center St., off Main St., Fernley, Saturday, June 9th, 10:00 am. All are welcome to celebrate this special life.
