ESL Receives Donation from Fernley Rotary
Program Teaches Adults to Learn or Improve English Skills at No Charge.

Florence G. Phillips, Executive Director of the ESL In-Home Program of Northern Nevada thanked the members of the Rotary Club of Fernley last week for their generous donation.
The ESL In-Home Program of Northern Nevada is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-funded program.
Since there is no fee to the student, funds are continually needed to purchase the instructional materials.
Phillips said, "We are all volunteers and no one, including myself or tutors, receives a stipend. This is strictly a volunteer program."
During her tour of duty as a Peace Corps volunteer, Phillips found herself living in three countries where she could not communicate . . .
