North Lyon County Fire Protection District Installs Solar Array at Fire Station In Fernley
FernleyNews.com - Black Rock Solar crews installed 195 modulars that operate on 190 kilowatts apiece to run off five inverters that convert DC power to AC power, which is then fed to the fire station in Fernley Nevada.

Zombies Thrill Crowd at 4th of July Parade in Fernley Nevada
Frightmare Mansion featured a haunted trailer float at the 2010 4th of July parade in Fernley Nevada to get the word out about their FREE haunted house.Although it's nowhere near Halloween, the crowds loved it when the zombies all danced to Thriller.
The float and dance also got them a 1st place trophy.

Fire Reports
July 2, 2010
North Lyon county firefighters responded to a mutual aid call yesterday for a brush fire in Wadsworth.
The fire reported around 7:45 pm units responded and found approximately a one acre fire in heavy fuels.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and completed overhaul with the assistance of crews from both Reno and Story County fire.
